.NET Micro Framework (Archive)

I’ve you didn’t know it already, Microsoft has released the SDK for .NET Micro Framework version 3.0 on Oktober the 24th.

Version 3.0 brings a lot of cool new features, including:

• Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (Including the free Express versions!)
• Support for native code (So you can make time critical application parts)
• Filesystem support (including Flash and Nand)
• Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
• Wi-Fi support (If supported by hardware port)
• Enhanced USB Device support
• Touchscreen support
• Antialiased fonts

So it’s a realy big upgrade! Hardware manufacturers need to port the new version for their hardware. I use the Embedded Master from GHI and they have Release Candidate 0  Initial RTM version ready now. I hope I can make some time to test this new version!
